We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 Research Fellowship Programme, designed to support emerging African scholars working at the intersection of peace and development.

Everpeace Institute for Research and Technology is proud to announce the launch of the 2025 Research Fellowship Programme — a fully-funded opportunity for emerging African scholars to pursue high-impact research at the intersection of peace, development, and technology. Applications are now open and will close on 31 July 2025.

The Fellowship is open to doctoral candidates and early career researchers from any African country, working in fields including conflict studies, public health, development economics, governance, and applied technology. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend, full access to Everpeace Institute's research infrastructure and expert network, dedicated mentorship from senior researchers, and publication support to bring their work to international journals.

The 2025 cohort will comprise eight fellows, each awarded for a period of 12 months. Fellows will be based in Ilorin, Kwara State, with opportunities for field research across West Africa. The Fellowship is designed to be intensive and output-focused: by the end of the year, each fellow is expected to have produced at least one peer-review-quality paper and one policy-facing brief.

"We established this Fellowship because we believe that the research capacity to solve Africa's most pressing challenges already exists on the continent — it simply needs the institutional support to flourish," said the Director of Research. "These fellowships are our commitment to that belief." Eligible candidates are encouraged to review the full application guidelines on our website and submit their proposals before the closing date.
